Little Sisters of the Sick

PICCOLE SUORE DEI MALATI. – Founded by the priest G. B. Sevres and Gabriella Adele Raoux at Mauriac (diocese of St-Flour) in 1860.

Their purpose is to care for the sick in their homes, assisting them and preparing them for a good death, while also helping their families with domestic tasks. Approved by the bishop in 1886, the Holy See issued the decree of praise on 18 April 1910, approved the Constitutions temporarily in 1934, and definitively on 26 January 1946. At present the sisters number 280, with 58 houses.
