Peter of Corbeil (de Corbolio)

PIETRO di CORBEIL (DE CORBOLIO). — Canon of the church of Paris and master of theology in 1198; bishop of Cambrai in 1199 and of Sens in 1200.

In 1210 he held in Paris a synod of the diocese of Sens, famous for the first prohibition of the Libri Aristotelis de naturali philosophia, as well as of the Commento, the doctrines of Amalricio di Bena, and David di Dinant (v.).
