PIETRO D'IBERNIA. — Master of s. Tommaso in the Faculty of Arts of the Studium Generale of Naples (1239).
The cod. Vat. lat. 5988 contains by him a commentary on Porphyry’s Isagoge, Aristotle’s Perihermeneias and De longit. et brevit. vitae, important for the history of method, because the literal exposition is interspersed with quaestiones, as Michele Scoto (v.) on Giovanni de Sacrobosco’s Sphaera. Baeumker (v.) rediscovered and published a quaestio that Master P. disputed around 1260 before King Manfredi: «Utrum membra essent facta propter operationes, vel operationes essent factae propter membra».
