"PLACARE CHRISTE SERVULIS". – Hymn of Vespers for the feast of All Saints, by an unknown author; it is found in manuscripts as early as the 10th century.
It consists of a succession of invocations to the various categories of saints, asking them to obtain the Grace of salvation. The revisers under Urban VIII almost completely rewrote this hymn, which in the original began: Christe, Redemptor omnium.
