« QUODCUMQUE INORBE NEXIBUS REVINXERIS ». – Hymn of Vespers and Matins for the feast of the Chair of s. Pietro.
It is a reworking of stanzas 5 and 7 of the hymn Felix per omnes festum mundi cardines, attributed to Paulinus of Aquileia but revised by the correctors of Urban VIII.
The two feasts of the Chair of s. Pietro (19 January and 22 February) are intended to commemorate the supreme power conferred upon s. Pietro near Caesarea Philippi, and the solemn words then spoken by Jesus are paraphrased here incisively.
