RECHERCHES DE SCIENCE RELIGIEUSE. - A bimonthly periodical, founded in Paris in 1910, under the direction of Fr. J. Lebreton, director of Etudes (v.).
Its purpose is to cooperate, through studies and research conducted according to a strictly scientific method, in steadily advancing the knowledge of religious questions, in delving deeper into disputed or still uncertain subjects, and in pointing out, on certain more delicate or more important points, the current state of religious studies. It therefore contains articles, notes, miscellanies and extensive informational bulletins on the most interesting works and studies concerning the religion of various peoples, the exegesis of the Old and New Testaments, the history of the questions and of the authors of dogmatic and moral theology and of philosophy, Christian origins, etc.
