REGNO. – A quarterly periodical, extensively and elegantly illustrated, founded at Assisi in 1942 through the work of the «Pro Civitate christiana», under the direction of don Giov. Rossi, as a journal of advanced Christian studies.
It aims to glorify the divine manifestation of Jesus in modern culture and art, bringing together around this subject the best-known Italian writers and artists. Having ceased publication in 1943, it resumed in 1945 with one issue per year, returning in 1952 to its original frequency. The scope it embraced also became broader, since it was enriched by the cooperation of authors, poets, and artists from throughout the world, an auspice of the universal fraternity of peoples in Christ.
