REVUE DES JEUNES. – An organ of information and action for French Catholic thought, directed by the Dominicans.
It was founded at Kain (Belgium) in 1909 by Fr. M. Barge under the name Revue de la jeunesse. Suspended after five years, it resumed immediately under Fr. Sertillanges as R. d. j. In the years 1929–32 it bore the name La nouvelle r. d. j. In the two-year period 1939–40 it appeared in a “war series” together with
Revue intellectuelle, subsequently continuing on its own from the end of 1940 until 1945 (new series), the year in which it was definitively suspended. It has given its name to the editions La R. d. j., which are still active.
Despite the successive changes of title, R. d. j. always had as its object the preparation of youth for the activities of tomorrow, and through articles, often masterly, it knew how to initiate young people into the merits of spirituality and the beauties of Catholic doctrine.
