Reyes, Apostolic Vicariate of

REYES, APOSTOLIC VICARIATE. — It is situated in Bolivia and was erected on 1 September 1942 with territory detached from the Apostolic Vicariate of Beni. It is entrusted to the Redemptorists.

It has an area of approximately 60,000 sq km and a population of approximately 18,000 inhabitants, of whom nearly 16,400 are Catholics. The others are pagans. There are 10 missionaries who serve the 4 principal stations and 8 secondary stations. There are 3 churches, 10 chapels, and two schools.
