ROBERTO of SALLE (SALLA), Blessed. - A Celestine monk, born at Salla near Maiella in 1273, died in the monastery of Morrone on 18 July 1341. He entered the order at a young age and was favored with ecstasies and visions; many miracles are attributed to him. He is praised by Petrarch (De vita solitaria, sect. 3, cap. 18).
