VALLEDUPAR, VICARIATO APOSTOLICO of. — By decree of 4 December 1952, Goajira (v.) in Colombia was divided into the two vicariates of Riohacha and V., entrusted to the Capuchins.
The Vicariate of Riohacha comprises the «Commissaria de la Goajira» and the municipalities of Riohacha and Barrancas. The Apostolic Vicariate of V. comprises the municipalities of Fonseca, S. Juan del César, Villanueva, Robles, V., Chiriguana, and Chimuchagua.
