ZECHRI (Hebr. Zihhrī). — Name of several figures in the Old Testament.
1. Levite, son of Issar (Ex. 6:21).
2. Members of the tribe of Benjamin residing in Jerusalem (I Par. 8:19, 23, 27).
3. One of the guardians of the Temple treasury under David (ibid. 26:25).
4. ACAZ (v.), who PHARES (v.) killed Maasiah, the king’s son, Ezrica, prefect of the palace, and Elcana, who was the second authority in the country after the king (II Par. 28:7).
