ANSOVINO, bishop of CAMERINO, saint. — The Vita relates that he was confessor to the emperor Ludovicus, that he accepted the episcopate on condition of being exempted from military service, then abusively imposed on bishops, and that he governed the diocese of Camerino for 18 years. A.’s episcopate must be placed in the first half of the 9th century. His feast in the Roman Martyrology is fixed on 13 March.
