ANSONE di LOBBES. – Died in the 8th century. Probably born in Luxembourg, he was a Benedictine at the abbey of Lobbes (province of Hainaut, in Belgium), where he was elected abbot in 766. He wrote the lives of St. Ursmaro and St. Ermino (in Acta SS. Aprilis, II, Paris 1865, pp. 557–59; III, Paris 1866, pp. 378–80).
