ANSONE of LOBBES. - Died in 800. Probably born in Luxembourg, he was a Benedictine at the abbey of Lobbes (in the province of Hainaut, Belgium), where he was elected abbot in 766. He wrote the lives of St Ursmarus and St Ermin (in *Acta SS. Aprilis*, II, Paris 1865, pp. 557–59; III, Paris 1866, pp. 378–80).
