BARTOLOMEO da Capua. - Neapolitan jurist (1248-1328). Professor of law at Naples. Logothete and protonotary in the court of the same city. He left a Glossa aurea on the constitutions of the kingdom, to whose drafting he had largely contributed. He took an active part in the canonization of St Thomas Aquinas; his testimony on the life and writings of the saint is of great value.
