BARTOLOMEO da CAPUA. — Neapolitan jurist (1248–1328). Professor of law in Naples. Logothete and protonotary at the court of the same city. He left a Glossa aurea on the constitutions of the kingdom, in whose drafting he had extensively collaborated. He played an active role in the canonization of St. Tommaso d'Aquino; his testimony concerning the saint’s life and writings is of great value.
