BARTOLOMEO DI SALICETO

BARTOLOMEO di SALICETO. — A celebrated legal scholar, born in Bologna around 1330, he first taught in his native city, then at the Universities of Padua (1373) and Ferrara (1380), and thereafter once again in Bologna. He died in his native city on 28 December 1412 and was buried at S. Domenico.

In addition to several minor works, he left extensive commentaries on the Codex and the Digestum, printed in Italy and abroad.
