BOSCH de CENTELLAS y CORDONA, BALTHASAR. — A Camillian, born in Centellas (Spain) in 1650, died in Madrid on 4 December 1714. He lived in Zaragoza, Madrid, and Antwerp. He devoted himself to caring for the sick; long and fruitful experience inspired his principal work: Prácticas de visitar a los enfermos y ayudar a bien morir (Antwerp 1701), which went through many editions and is still widely circulated.
He also wrote: Ejercicio angélico en obsequio de Maria Santísima (2 vols., ibid. 1701); Guirnalda mística. Trinafo de los santos (ibid. 1701), brief meditations for each day of the year on the characteristic virtue of the saint commemorated.
