CARLINI, ALBERICO. – Franciscan, painter, b. at Pescia in 1705, d. in 1775. A pupil in his native city of Ottaviano Dandini; in Rome he attended the studio of Sebastiano Conca. Having taken the Franciscan habit and been assigned to the convent of Pietrasanta, he decorated its church.
He left works in various other churches of his Order, including that of S. Bartolomeo all’Isola in Rome, where in the chapel of S. Francesco he depicted several scenes from the life of the Saint.
