CHERUBINO da CORREGGIO. - Capuchin preacher and man of letters of the old province of Lombardy (Parma), b. 9 Feb. 1636, d. at Modena 3 Feb. 1728. He engaged in polemics against heretics and served as chaplain to the soldiers of the duke of Mirandola in the Cretan campaign against the Turks. Three times provincial minister, master of novices, he promoted the consecration of his province to the Immaculate Virgin.
He translated Fr. Giuseppe da Dreux’s Solitude graphique: Solitudine serafica ovvero esercizi spirituali per un ritiramento di dieci giorni secondo il vero spirito di S. The manuscript of his Meditazioni per gli esercizi spirituali di dieci giorni ad uso privato dei frati Minori cappuccini was copied many times.
