CEVOLI, FLORIDA, venerable. - Capuchin nun of the monastery of Città di Castello, born in Pisa to Count Curzio and Laura C. on 11 Nov. 1685, died on 12 June 1767. She entered the monastery on 8 June 1703 and was a disciple, confidante, Veronica Giuliani (v.), whose virtues she emulated; abbess from 1727, with some interruptions, until her death. Sought for advice, she maintained an abundant correspondence with persons both eminent and humble. She left valuable testimonies concerning her interior life. On 1 June 1838 Gregory XVI introduced her cause of beatification; on 19 June 1910 Pius X declared the heroicity of her virtues.
