**CEVOLI, FLORIDA, Venerable.** – A Capuchin nun of the monastery in Città di Castello, born in Pisa on 11 November 1685 to Count Curzio and Laura C., died on 12 June 1767. She entered the monastery on 8 June 1703, becoming a disciple, confidante, and vicar of St. Veronica Giuliani (q.v.), whose virtues she emulated. She served as abbess from 1727, with some interruptions, until her death. Frequently consulted for advice, she maintained an extensive correspondence with people of high and low estate. She left precious testimonies regarding her interior life. On 1 June 1838, Gregory XVI opened her cause for beatification; on 19 June 1910, Pius X declared her heroic virtue.
