ROMAN CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC AFRICAN MISSIONS. - To respond to the request for cooperation from the International African Institute of London, the R. C. of C. A. M. was founded in 1925, at the invitation of Propaganda Fide, by the Jesuit Fr. H. Dubois, with the aim of bringing together the representatives of religious institutes having missions in Africa for an exchange of views on the methods and problems of the apostolate. Today 57 institutes take part in it, of which 46 are represented in Rome. Since 1932 the C. has published AFER (v.).
