**«CREATOR ALME SIDERUM».** – A vesper hymn for the season of Advent, attributed, though with little foundation, to St. Ambrose; the author, however, was inspired by him. It is a threefold invocation of faith, love, and hope to God, creator of the universe, redeemer of fallen humanity, and judge at the end of the world. This vision of the final judgment is in keeping with the Gospel of the first Sunday of Advent.
