Daisenberger, Johann Nepomuk

DAISENBERGER, JOHANN NEPOMUK. - Regular canon, b. at Pölling (Middle Franconia) on 10 Feb. 1752, d. at Walleshausen on 14 Nov. 1820. From 1796 to 1803 he was the last provost of Pölling, and he completed the work begun by his predecessor, the manuscript history of the writers of the Order of Canons Regular of St. Augustine, now preserved in the State Library of Munich (Scriptores Ord. Can. reg. S. Augustini). After the secularization of the monastery, D. was parish priest at Walleshausen.
