CZERNY, ALBIN. — Historian, b. 19 Feb. 1821 at Vienna, d. 7 July 1900 at St-Florian. Having entered the abbey of St-Florian in 1841, he became professor and librarian there. He arranged and catalogued the extremely rich collection of manuscripts and incunabula owned by the abbey. He also concerned himself with the history of Upper Austria.
