DALLER, BALTHASAR. – Bavarian priest and politician, b. 12 Jan. 1893 at Gasteig, d. 3 March 1911 at Freising.
Ordained priest in 1861, he later became professor of ecclesiastical law and Church history at the Royal Lyceum of Freising. From February 1871 until his death he was a deputy to the Bavarian Diet. Founder of the Bavarian Patriotic Party (Bayerische patriotische Partei), he aimed at harmonious cooperation between State and Church, especially in the matter of education, and at safeguarding Bavaria’s rights within the German Empire.
