EHRENSBERGER, HUGO. - Priest and writer, b. at Engen on 21 Sept. 1841, d. at Bruchsal on 24 Febr. 1904. A teacher in secondary schools, he published a description of the liturgical manuscripts held by the regional library of Karlsruhe: Bibliotheca liturgica manuscriptorum (Freiburg im Breisgau 1889), and another of 544 manuscript liturgical books of the VaticanLibrary: Libri liturgici Bibliothecae Apostolicae Vaticanae mss. (ibid. 1897). He also concerned himself with the local ecclesiastical history of Baden and with the growth of the Catholic press in the region.
