EHRENSBERGER, HUGO. — Priest and writer, b. at Engen on 21 September 1841, d. at Bruchsal on 24 February 1904. A professor at secondary schools, he published a description of the liturgical manuscripts held by the Regional Library of Karlsruhe: Bibliotheca liturgica manuscriptorum (Freiburg im Breisgau 1889), and another of 544 handwritten liturgical books in the Vatican Library: Libri liturgici Bibliothecae Apostolicae Vaticanae mss. (ibid. 1897). He also concerned himself with the local ecclesiastical history of Baden and with the growth of the Catholic press in the region.
