### ELIZALDE, Miguel de
Jesuit moral theologian of the tutiorist school. Born in 1616 at Echalar (Navarre), died on 18 November 1678 at San Sebastián. Professor of philosophy and theology at Valladolid, Salamanca, and Rome; rector of the Jesuit college in Naples. In his *De recta doctrina morum*, written under the pseudonym Antonius Celladei, he clashed with the Order and strongly opposed probabilism.
Principal works: *Forma verae religionis quaerendae et inveniendae* (Naples 1662); *De recta doctrina morum qualisque libris distincta. Quibus accessit De natura opinio. Iuris appendix* (Lyon 1670).
