ELIZALDE, MIGUEL de. - Jesuit theologian and rigorist moralist. B. in 1616 at Echalar (Navarre), d. on 18 Nov. 1678 at S. Sebastiano. Professor of philosophy and theology at Valladolid, Salamanca, and Rome; rector of the Jesuit college at Naples. In the De recta doctrina morum, written under the pseudonym Antonius Celladei, he is at odds with the Order and strongly opposes probabilism.
