HENRY OF RIMINI. – Dominican theologian, born in Rimini, died c. 1314. He entered the Dominican Order in his native city. He seems to have been a lector in theology. He and Gregory of Cattaro, each with a companion, received permission to reside at the court of King Stephen Uros I of Serbia, who was married to Helena of Valois, a Catholic. The religious had the task of serving as advisors in the event that the king took steps toward ecclesiastical union.
Bibliographers attribute the following works to H.: *Traditus de quatuor virtutibus cardinalibus ad cives Venetos* (Speyer 1472 or 1473); *Quaestiones variae theologiae*; *Tractatus de septem capitibus duconis*. The treatises *De potestate Venetorum* and *De nobilitate et politica Venetorum* appear to be parts or alternative titles of the *Tractatus de quatuor virtutibus cardinalibus*.
