After studying at Cologne and Paris, he entered the Order in 1365 at Cologne. He became prior in 1368, and held this office in various convents. Between 1375 and 1395 he was visitor of the German and French provinces. He wrote several works, not all of which were printed, including: Exercitatorem monachae seu speculum peccatorum, attributed by some to Denis the Carthusian (Op. Min. II, Cologne 1532, cols. 494-96 under the title De vita purgativa); Brevis historia Ordinis Cartusiensis, important as it constitutes the first source for the history of the Order (E. Martène, Veterum scriptorum... amplissima collectio, VI, Paris 1729, cols. 149-216).
