ESTUDIOS. - Catholic monthly review of general culture. It was founded in 1933 in Santiago, Chile, with the task of exerting a beneficial influence in the field of higher studies, directing them toward Christian truth and wisdom. Questions concerning religion and philosophy, art and literature, the social and political sciences are treated with great competence in this publication, together with the most interesting current problems. The tenacious defense of the rights of the person against any excessive interference by the power of the State, the explicit condemnation of every form of racism and the struggle for a more just and more Christian society have made this review a truly appreciated organ in Chilean cultural circles.
