BIBLICAL STUDIES. - Organ of the Association for the Promotion of Biblical Studies in Spain, Madrid. Quarterly publication of biblical research.
Two periods: 1) from 1929-30 (vol. I) to 1936 (vol. VIII). Principal contributors: Colunga, Bover, Murillo, Santos Olivera, Herranz, etc.; 2) from 1941-42 (vol. I) onwards (continuing). In this second period, the journal is the common organ of the AFEBE and the Francesco Suárez Institute (of the Higher Council for Scientific Research). Significant studies on the history of the Vulgate in Spain were initiated already in the first period. In addition to the principal contributors of the first period, Ayuso, Enciso, Prado, Asensio, Larrañaga, Orbiso, Llamas, M. Iglesias, Puzo, etc., are also noted.
This publication should not be confused with the *Revista Española de Estudios Bíblicos*, founded and published by Dr. Iñigo de Eduardo Felipe Fernández in Málaga from 1926 (vol. I) and ceased in 1929 (vol. IV), particularly noteworthy for works on the history of the *Espera* in Spain. Rafaela Criado
