ESTUDIOS ECLESIÁSTICOS. – Journal published in Madrid since 1922 and still appearing, through the work of the philosophical and theological colleges of the Society of Goiú in Spain: Comillas, Oña, Sarriá, and Granada. It presented itself as a separation from Ramón y Fe, just as Recherches de science religieuse had separated from Études.
It deals with theology, Sacred Scripture, canon law, and ecclesiastical history, and until 1944 also with philosophy, now excluded following the founding of Pensamiento (Madrid, since 1943). Particularly noteworthy is the special 1948 issue on Suárez, with an extensive retrospective bibliographical survey and prospectus. Michele Baffari
