ESTUDIOS FRANCISCANOS. – Journal founded in 1907 by the Capuchin Friars of the province of Catalonia for the defense and exposition of Catholic scholarship and for the advancement of Franciscan history and doctrine.
It was published monthly and in Spanish from 1907 to 1922 (29 vols.); from 1923, vol. 30, in Catalan (Estudis Franciscans), as a means of promoting regional culture, with international outreach through articles in other languages; from 1927 to 1936, vols. 39–48, quarterly; suspended after 1936 because of the Marxist revolution; publication resumed in Spanish in 1948 (Barcelona-Sarriá), every four months, under the direction of the Capuchin Friars of Spain and America.
