ETT, KASPAR.
- Musician, born at Eresing in Bavaria on 5 January 1788, died in Munich on 16 May 1877. He studied at the Seminary of the Electorate of Munich and, from 1816 until his death, was first organist of the Church of S. Michele.

He published Centica socra in unum studione inventatis and Gesanglehre für Schulen. Manuscripts remaining in the Munich State Library include a treatise on composition, two Requiems, two Misereres, a Stabat, a Te Deum, litanies, vespers, graduals, and offertories. He conducted studies on an-

ÉTUDES CARMÉLITAINES. - Periodical of the Discalced Carmelites of France. Founded as a quarterly in February 1911 by Fr. Marie-Joseph du Sacré-Cœur, who directed it until the end of 1930. The journal's purpose during this period is defined by its subtitle: É. C. historiques et critiques sur les traditions, les privilèges et la mystique de l'Ordre.

Suspended from 1915 to 1919 due to the war. In 1931
(16th year), direction was entrusted to Fr. Bruno de Jésus-Marie of the Paris province. The subtitle was changed to E. C. mystiques et missionnaires; the periodicity became semi-annual. From 1935, each issue was dedicated to the study of a particular theme or problem of a psychological-religious nature. Suspended again in 1940, publication resumed in 1946 (25th year) with one or two annual issues and without any subtitle. From 1947, the journal was accompanied by a monographic series of the same title and without fixed periodicity. Since 1936, E. C. ordinarily dedicates one issue each year to the publication of the studies from the "International Days of Religious Psychology," organized by it in Avon. Enrico Ravera
