GIORDANO, LUCA

GIORDANO, LUCA. - Painter and engraver, born in Naples in 1632, died there on 12 January 1705. He received his first instruction from his father; then he was placed in the workshop of Ribera. Very soon he began a series of journeys to the major artistic centres of the Peninsula, Rome, Florence, Parma, and Venice.
