MISZKOLC (Slovak Mišhovec). — Apostolic administration (exarchate) of the parishes of Ruthenian faithful of the Byzantine-Slavonic rite in Hungarian territory. These are the 24 parishes of the dioceses of Mukačevo and Prešov that remained in Hungary, for which the Holy See established this exarchate on 27 October 1925. During the Second World War, when Mukačevo was in Hungary, its respective parishes were reunited with the diocese. After the war they once again formed the said administration of M. Statistics: parishes 24, faithful 21,281, priests 29.
