ORIENS CHRISTIANUS. - A bi-annual journal founded in Rome in 1901 by the Collegio Pio del Camposanto Teutonico and edited by Anton Baumstark, later joined by Adolf Rücker and Georg Graf. The journal, written in German, published valuable studies and unpublished texts concerning the Mediterranean East, excluding Slavic peoples, and distinguished itself particularly in Syriac literature and liturgy. It ceased publication in 1941 with its 36th volume.
