PICCOLE FIGLIE DEI SACRI CUORI DI GESÙ e MARIA. – Institute founded in Parma in 1865 by Anna Micheli, with the cooperation of Mons. Agostino Chieppi.
On 8 December 1905 it was approved by the bishop; the decree of praise dates from 10 May 1941, together with the temporary approval of the Constitutions; definitive approval was granted on 13 June 1949.
The nuns devote themselves to charitable and educational works in the forms most suited to the present times, and also have houses in mission lands. They now number 565 religious in 75 houses.
