PIE SUORE DELLA REDENZIONE. – Institute founded at Cagliari in 1935 by Mother Anna di Gesù.
It was elevated to an Institute of pontifical right in 1949. Its purpose is the redemption of wayward women, the assistance and redemption of female prisoners, and the salvation of women in danger. It currently has 11 houses, all in Italy (cf. Mondo cattolico, Rome 1952, p. 316). Celestino Testore
