STABLUM, EMANUELE. - Physician, b. at Terzolas (Trento) on 10 June 1895, d. at Rome on 16 March 1950. He entered the Conceptionists in 1911. Having graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Naples (1931), he was (from 1932) medical director and (from 1941) superior of the Istituto dermopatico dell'Immacolata in Rome.

He wrote mainly articles on medical subjects for Cronache dell'IDI (Istituto dermopatico Immacolata), a monthly publication he founded in 1946 (Apostolato medico, 2 [1947], no. 4; Tumori della pelle, 3 [1948], nos. 4-5; L'orticaria, 4 [1949], no. 1). A man of vast culture and of particular aptitude for experimentation, he scientifically perfected the therapeutic method for skin diseases, inherited from Fr. A. Ludovico Sala (v.), and completed it with new products (Depurativo IDI - Lilial neve, etc.). He concerned himself mainly with the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, etc.
