STABLUM, EMANUELE. - Physician, born in Terzolas (Trento) on 10 June 1895, died in Rome on 16 March 1950. He entered the Conceptionists in 1911. He graduated in medicine and surgery from the University of Naples (1931) and served as health director (from 1932) and superior (from 1941) of the Dermopathic Institute of the Immaculate in Rome.
He wrote primarily medical articles for *Cronache dell'IDI* (Dermopathic Institute Immaculate), a monthly publication he founded in 1946 (Apostolato Medico, 2 [1947], no. 4; Tumori della pelle [Skin Tumors], 3 [1948], nos. 4-5; L'orticaria [Urticaria], 4 [1949], no. 1). A man of broad culture and particular aptitude for experimentation, he scientifically refined the therapeutic method of dermatopathy, inherited from Fr. A. SCALA (v.), and supplemented it with new products (Depurativo IDI - Lillai neve, etc.). He focused mainly on the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, etc.
