STUDIA ET DOCUMENTA HISTORIAE ET IURIS. - Scholarly journal - predominantly on Roman law - published by the "Pontificium Institutum utriusque iuris," based in Rome at the Pontificio Ateneo Lateranense.
It is published in annual volumes of approximately 500 pages, including original papers, notes, reviews, and chronicles; particular emphasis is placed on periodic "surveys" of: legal epigraphy, legal papyrology, and cuneiform law. Accepted languages: French, English, Italian, Latin, Spanish, German. The current series began in 1935 under the direction of Emilio Albertario and has reached vol. 18 (1952). The earlier series of the journal may be considered the 25 volumes published from 1880 to 1904 under the title Studi e documenti di storia e diritto, edited by the Accademia di conferenze storico-giuridiche, whose notable members included Giovanbattista De Rossi and Ilario Alibrandi. The current editors are Arcadio Larraona and Salvatore Riccobono, with Gabrio Lombardi serving as moderator and sponsor.
