«TE SAECULORUM PRINCIPEM». – Hymn of Vespers for the feast of Christ the King, composed by Fr. Vittorio Genovesi, S.J., in 1925.
To the Jews’ cry of hatred, who did not want Christ to reign over them, the hymn opposes the cry of love and the acclamation of the King of the universe, asking him to lead the wayward back to the fold, since he died for all and is present above the altars to unite himself with his faithful.
