« TU NATALE SOLIUM PROTEGE ». — Hymn of Lauds in the Office of s. Martina, composed by Urbano VIII. It is the continuation of « Martinae celebri » (v.).
It is a prayer to the Roman martyr that she might defend the fatherland from the Islamic danger pressing upon Christian peoples. May all princes unite under the banner of the Cross to defeat the enemies of Christ.
