THEODERIC OF VRIBERG (of Freiburg). - Dominican philosopher and theologian of the second half of the 13th century.

theological commentary of Proclus translated into Latin by Brother William of Moerbeke in 1268. From the One, through the Word, by an internal "ebullition" or "transfusion," all created things proceed. The "agent intellect" of Aristotle is identified with the "abditum mentis" of St. Augustine (De Trin., XIV, 7, 9).

Among his many works, the treatise De iride et de radialibus impressionibus has attracted attention for its scientific importance.
