TIRUVALLA. – Suffragan diocese of the Syro-Malankara Catholics of Trivandrum in India.
It was erected on 11 June 1932 by the apostolic constitution Christo pastorum principi. It comprises the districts of Tiruvalla, Niranam, Moovattupuzha, and Kumamkulam.
Over an area of 16,068 sq. km., it has 1,997,000 inhabitants, of whom 15,235 are Catholics. It has 109 churches and 69 parishes served by 56 diocesan priests and 15 religious priests, with 4 male and 4 female congregations.
