Suffragan of Ermakulam, established by the apostolic constitution Romani Pontifices of 21 December 1923 (previously, since 1887, an apostolic vicariate). It has 393 churches, 161 parishes, 201 priests, and 253,903 faithful; total population 1,127,553.
