VLADIVOSTOK, DIOCESE of. – Dependent on the Pontifical Commission for Russia.

Together with Siberia, it was detached from the Diocese of Mohilev on 1 December 1921 and comprises the Primorskaja and Amurskaja Oblasts and Sakhalin Island. It was erected as a diocese on 2 February 1923 and in 1925 numbered 6 priests, 6 churches, and 200,000 faithful. After the death of Bishop Sliwowski (1933), confessor of the faith, the diocese has remained orphaned and devastated.
