ADALBERTO, abbot of SAN GIOVANNI DI TAROUCA. — Invited to Portugal by St. Bernard, together with other monks, under the leadership of Abbot Boemondo, he founded with his group the monastery of St. John of Tarouca, in the diocese of Lamego, of which he was first prior and then, upon the death of Boemondo, abbot. The monastery greatly benefited from his reputation for holiness. He died in 1125.
