AGOSTINO DELLA VERGINE MARIA

AGOSTINO della VERGINE MARIA. — French Carmelite, in the world Guglielmo Goazmoal, born at Léon (Brittany) and died at Vannes on 27 June 1689. He made his religious profession in the reform of Touraine at Rennes in 1640; he was professor of philosophy and theology in the colleges of his Order, prior of the convent of Orléans (1669), provincial definitor (1672), and vicar general for Brittany.

He wrote: Cursus Theologiae Thomisticae, in 6 vols. (Paris 1660); Privilegia omnium religiosorum (Lyons 1661); Philosophiae Aristo-Thomisticae Cursus, in 6 vols. (Lyons 1664).
