AGOSTINO della VERGINE MARIA. — French Carmelite, born Guglielmo Goazmocal, at Léon (Brittany) and died at Vannes on 27 June 1869. He made his religious profession in the reform of Touraine at Rennes in 1640; he was professor of philosophy and theology in the colleges of his Order, prior of the convent of Orléans (1669), definer provincial (1672) and vicar general for Brittany.
He wrote: *Cursus Theologiae Thomisticae*, in 6 vols. (Paris 1660); *Privilegia omnium religiosorum* (Lyons 1661); *Philosophiae Aristo-Thomisticae Cursus*, in 6 vols. (Lyons 1664).
