ALBERS, PIETRO

ALBERS, PIETRO. - Jesuit and Dutch historian, born at Frasselt on 13 April 1856, died at Maastricht on 1 April 1932. He entered the religious life in 1880 and was professor of ecclesiastical history at Maastricht from 1897 to 1921.

His principal works are: *Storia della restaurazione della gerarchia cattolica in Olanda* (in Dutch, 2 vols., Nijmegen 1903); *Manuale di storia ecclesiastica* (in Dutch, 2 vols., Nijmegen 1905–1908; in Latin: *Enchiridion*)
